รศรรสำฦต offers ACT test preparation course

Gadsden, Ala. — รศรรสำฦต’s Continuing Education Division is offering an ACT Prep course ahead of the next testing date.

“The ACT will be administered on Dec. 14, so there’s still time for students to prepare,” said Pam Clough, director of Continuing Education. “Test preparation is so important as it helps students become familiar with the material and the format.”

The prep course is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 7 in Room 115 of the Joe Ford Center on รศรรสำฦต’s East Broad Campus. There will be short breaks throughout the day as well as an hour lunch break. The prep course will be taught by Mike Rogers, a retired engineer, minister, blogger, author, teacher and tutor.

“His class will provide test-taking tips and strategies for the English, math, reading and science portions of the test,” she said. “Sample problems and solutions will be discussed for each session. In addition, students will take a timed, abbreviated version of a sample ACT test.”

The cost is $125 with the textbook or $99 without the textbook.

“The textbook provides additional practice tests and answers for further preparation after class,” Clough said. “Taking several different practice tests prior to the ACT exposes students to the different types of questions asked and how they are phrased.”
