รศรรสำฦต hosts 'Operation We Remember' to address Veteran suicide and mental health

GADSDEN, Ala. – รศรรสำฦต launches "Operation We Remember," a two-day event during Suicide Prevention Awareness Month aimed at raising awareness of Veteran suicide while fostering conversations on the challenges Veterans face. It's all happening this week, and the public is invited to take part.

"When our Veterans come home, they often carry unseen scars that weigh heavily on their hearts," said Dean of Special Projects Pamela Johnson. "This event is our way of not only remembering those who were overcome by their pain, but also offering a lifeline to others, reminding them there’s always someone ready to stand with them."

Day One – Tuesday, September 10

Day Two – Wednesday, September 11

  • 1801 Coleman Road, Anniston, AL
  • 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Johnson said that 147 Alabama Veterans lost their lives to suicide in 2022. To honor each of these individuals, attendees will have the opportunity to plant a flag in their memory. All materials will be provided. The Veterans Upward Bound office will also be open, offering crucial mental health resources and support services.
